Mr Henry Bourke
Consultant Orthopaedic & Specialist Knee Surgeon
Mr Bourke is a consultant surgeon dedicated to the treatment of knee problems only. He is a third generation doctor following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He is a UK-trained surgeon having qualified in 2002 from Imperial College in London. He went on to train as an orthopaedic specialist in the South West Thames region before developing an interest solely in surgery around the knee. In 2011/12 he travelled to Australia to work in two world-renowned sports surgery units, the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Sydney and the Park Clinic in Melbourne before returning home to become a consultant in the UK.
Mr Bourke’s philosophy is to provide personalised care. He recognises that knee problems affect people in very different ways and thus takes time to understand each patients’ unique circumstances before discussing and recommending treatment options. He is dedicated to finding a treatment solution for each patient.
He lives in the local area with his family and is a full-time consultant in the NHS at Heatherwood & Wexham Park hospitals part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust having been appointed in 2013. In his free time he follows his other passions, playing tennis, golf and skiing in the winter.
